Group Policy Object Overview

Xiid provides a robust set of Group Policy settings to allow granular configuration of deployment and update policies across the domain.

User Settings

The Xiid User Settings allow system administrators to configure the installation and updating of Xiid software when users sign in to their machine.

The Xiid User Settings can be found under User Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Xiid Corp > Software Settings.

Computer Settings

The Xiid Computer Settings allow system administrators to configure the installation and update of Xiid software when a domain-joined machine starts up.

The Xiid User Settings can be found under Computer Configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > Xiid Corp > Software Settings.

The Xiid STLink settings allow system administrators to deploy and update the Xiid STLink software during computer startup.

There are two Group Policy settings available for the STLink: Xiid.ST STLink Installation Strategy and Xiid.ST STLink Update Strategy.

The Custom Directory Attribute Name attribute must be a valid attribute from the Active Directory Attributes and must contain the STLink Activation Code. You can find more information on automatically populating the STLink Activation Codes in the STLink Client Management section.
